Amber Colville, MD

Dr. Amber Colville is a native of Jackson County, MS, currently residing in Pascagoula. She is a 1990 graduate of Moss Point High School. Following high school, she attended the University of Southern Mississippi, where she earned a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences with minors in Chemistry and English.  She then attended and graduated from Ross University School of Medicine in 2000.  After medical school, she completed a combined residency training program in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics in 2004 at the State University of New York in Brooklyn, NY, after which she returned to Mississippi and began practicing Internal Medicine in Jackson County.  She is currently the owner of New Wave Internal Medicine Clinic in Ocean Springs. 

Professionally, Amber serves as an associate professor at William Carey School of Osteopathic Medicine, is a member of the Mississippi State Medical Association, and a charter member of Physicians for Patient Protection.  She was awarded the "Outstanding Community Service Award" in 2018 by MSMA for creating and administrating a social media forum providing the physicians of Mississippi an opportunity to be informed of current healthcare legislation/climate and allowing for discussion of the same in a virtual manner.  In 2019, she received recognition from the Mississippi Business Journal as a "Healthcare Hero" for her dedication to and advocacy for the people of the state of Mississippi.  Amber serves on the board of Singing River Premiere Health, Inc and is a committee member for credentialling of physicians and providers at Singing River Health System.  She has served on the Board of Trustees at MSMA representing the Coastal counties (district 8) since 2020.  She is an active medical staff member at Ocean Springs Hospital.

Amber has served on the board of Gateway Christian Academy since 2012.  She attends First United Methodist Church of Pascagoula where she sings in the Chancel Choir, the trio "Lovesong", and the quartet "Fourtified".  She has been married to her husband Lewis Sims for 22 years, and together they have 3 children.  She enjoys following their various activities and traveling when time allows.
